Letter to prof. ( any suggestions)

Thank you for meeting me at Ahmadabad. I hope you had a good time at Akshardham. I have good news to share with you. Orica has shown interest in my resume and has verbally (on phone) agreed to take me back, however paper formalities are due.
Regarding my date of return, I will reach Gomia on January 26th 2011. I know that you told me to pre-pone my date of return and understand that long gap will affect my thesis work. However, a positive response from Orica, mom's birthday, and home sick feeling, all these factors have insisted me to stick to the original ticket that is of January 25th, 2011.
