Dear Ms. xxxxx, I have received your reply for my not guilty plea. I wish to seek a reduction of this matter by mail. I was driving with the moving traffic with a speed of 75MPH. I was behind a moving overloaded truck which is moving at the same speed with an uncertain lane-shift. I felt unsafe to follow the truck. Even I know that it is unlawful to cross the speed limit but it was necessary for me at that circumstances to cross the limit and over take for my safe drive. While I was doing that, cop turned emergency lights and I was on left most lane. At that circumstances I had to slow down and have to make lane shift, where they may be a chance of Truck being at my blind spot and chances of collision. And I couldn’t wait and show down on the left most lane for the truck to pass by which may take more time and interrupt the traffic that is flowing. So Even I know that pulling on the left emergency lane is offense, I had to take this decision (I see at least one vehicle, once in a week or two who pull to the left for cop, which even influenced or supported to take this decision at this circumstances) . I have made sure while I was stopping on the wrong side of the road that I ample distance away from the road so that it is safe for me, cop and the cars which are driving on the top lane. As a Law abiding citizen, I know I have break the rule but I tried all I could do to be safe and keep my fellow driver to be safe at that situation. Please do consider my case, as this is my first ticket every since I had my first driving License. If there is anything that can be done on this matter, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to look at my situation. Yours Sincerely, xxxxxxxxx
