Letter to bank - please help

Please help to waive penalty for USD200.00 (USD100.00 late charge and USD100.00 finance charge). This is not fair a cumulative penalty. The overdue payment was only USD50.00, however, I need to pay for USD200.00 penalty which is unacceptable. This is my first time delay payment, please help confirm by return.

Dear Ms ***,

Subject: Name: *** Credit Card No. ***

Due to an oversight on my part, June’s credit card payment in the amount of USD50.00 became overdue. I now see that there is a cumulative penalty of USD200.00 (USD100.00 late charge and USD100.00 finance charge) for this overdue payment. I have always paid on time before.
