Dear Sir

I am writing to you regarding some issues owing to the restructuring of our department. I hope this letter will be helpful for you to know the situation better and take some actions on it. We had a project management process before which had running for the last ten years. Firstly, people did not need to write daily report of each project they responsible for. Instead, they would report the progress of their projects if the status of the projects had changed or they had done some work on it. Secondly, the engineers in our department were not asked to learn project management course, for we have dedicated project manager. Lastly, people could dressed clothes what they want to put on. As the department has been restructured, some work processes and disciplines has changed. People are resenting the new rules, for they have to write daily report, learn project management course and have to wear suits. They feel constrained and no freedom. Worse than that, people consider quitting their job. For the problems have arisen, I propose getting back to the previous project management process and discuss the new process with our employees, so they would feel be imposed by the new things. As to the project management training, I think it is a good thing for the employees, giving the training to the people who want to be trained first and giving them some days off to learn things. Last but not least, it is necessary to dress up what they want to, and to be themselves, as our job need creative people and it will make them more creative.
