Letter Writing

Letter on organizing an event. Kindly review.

Your local college is organizing an event on the International Student’s Day and is looking for people to talk about their country. Write a letter and say

- What topics would you like them to cover?

- Why would it be interesting for students?

- Ask questions about the arrangements.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter in regard to the International Student's Day at our college for which you are looking for people who can contribute in it.

Normally our college highlights the importance of British culture on similar occasions, I would like you to cover Chinese culture and heritage in this particular event. The reason is more than 50% of students of our university belong to China, and they will feel good if you give importance to their culture.

China has the world's largest population, and many senior students do not know how they manage their citizens effectively. Discussing their way of living, including the dresses they wear and food they eat, people can come to know about many useful things. I think this event may also attract many students of other colleges.

However, I have some queries. Will this event take place in the basketball ground or soccer ground and how much do you intend to charge? In my view, you should not charge for this day otherwise people may not attend it.

I look forward to hearing back from you.

Yours faithfully,

Hina Jatoi
