Letter of recomendation

Hello,
I am high school student from Poland and recently got my teacher's letter of recommendation, as I am about to study abroad. I was asked to translate the letter to fulfil legal requirements. It would be brilliant if someone, more proficient in english than me, could check if there is everything in order with my translation. The school I would like to be enrolled to is Bocconi School in Milan, economics studies.

Beginning of the letter:

Piotr belongs to the most committed students both in terms of educational endeavour and social activities. He eagerly participates in classroom and school events as well as in undertakings connected with significant national and school ceremonies. He initiates and coordinates projects connected with humanities, civil education and economic sciences, to which he is particularly dedicated. He is a laureate and finalist of numerous contests and Olympiads from economic sciences, both on regional and national level.

We have known Piotr as a vibrant initiator of internal school activities, inspiring his colleagues fascinated with sociological aspects of contemporary societies. He took part in conferences and workshops concerning geopolitical problems, including globalisation and income disparities. Owing to his unique organisational skills, he was appointed President of the Board in the Association for Promotion of Development “INVOLVE”, the organisation established to exercise control over an educational platform which he co-created. His charisma, which he frequently demonstrated during in-class debates, as well as his empathy, made him a natural team leader. The whole venture is held under the auspices of Nicolaus Copernicus University, which included the project in the program of acceleration of the Academic Business Incubator and granted the venture Google support within the Project Google for Non-profits. Due to all the aforementioned events, Piotr has ample opportunity to put his theoretical expertise acquired in numerous economic contests into practice; in addition he can learn new skills concerning, for example, solving legal issues.

It is worth mentioning here that a part of Piotr’s entrepreneurial spirit requires him to seek new challenges and to accept responsibility for the most demanding tasks. The most evident proof of this attitude was his voluntary participation in the international economic conference Impact'16 4.0 Economy, dedicated to the fourth industrial revolution and transformations occurring in contemporary economy. This conference was attended by directors of commercial banks in Poland as well as representatives of the Polish government, with Deputy Prime Ministers and the Ministers of Finance and Education, to name but a few. In recognition of his efforts in the aforementioned event, Piotr was appointed to the position of an assistant to the Production Manager at the Fintech and Insurtech Congress Impact'16 Fintech/Insurtech, as the only person from the original group of volunteers.

Whenever I think about Piotr, I always have in mind his perseverance and diligence in his pursuit of knowledge and experience that he considers indispensable in his future career. When I had the pleasure and honour to meet him, Piotr almost instantly concocted a plan of his development throughout the period of high school. Much to my amazement, I feel compelled to admit that all the points of this plan have already been accomplished. In spite of the bonds of friendship that link Piotr with his colleagues and the whole community of Academic High School, he owes his development primarily to himself. What is particularly remarkable is the fact that Piotr took part in a demanding Economic Knowledge Contest and as the only student from our school qualified to the final stage along with 100 best young economists in Poland. After this significant achievement, Piotr have spend next year refining his economics competencies and won the next edition of the aforementioned olympiad, beating almost twelve thousand of his competitors. Piotr’s success should be considered with substantial recognition, as it is the highest economics award available for high school students in Poland.

With great sentiment I recall all discussions with Piotr concerning the reasons for his absences from school. Piotr was in habit of enumerating endless contests, conferences, and scientific trips, where he invariably made speeches, established new contacts and promoted the activity of his association. Although such a mode of work necessitated coping with backlogs on his own, staff of teachers did not need to feel perplexed about Piotr’s inappropriate time management in his hectic life. Thanks to his personality traits such as diligence, conscientiousness as well as perseverance in achieving his goals, Piotr will certainly linger in my memory for it is hard to find a student with such precise and consistently realised ambitions. The studies he has chosen will undoubtedly make his dreams come true. From this perspective, I can confidently recommend Piotr as a valuable asset for any university to which he decides to apply.
