Letter of Mottivation

Can someone give me some feedback about this motivational letter,
its for MEXT 2010.

Any feedback, criticizm is welcome, or if u have modifications to make od add parts,
remove parts, please do so.

This is my letter:

Dear Madam or Sir,

My name is <name>, I'm a graduate student at Faculty for Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies, majoring in Computer Science, Information Technology and Automation.

With this letter I would like to apply for the Monbukagakusho/MEXT scholarship that will be conducted in Japan during the academic year 2010 - 2012.

Allow me to briefly introduce myself. I was born in a family with a strong belief in the importance of education, thus I have always tried to do my best.

The reason I chose Japan as the country I want to go to for my education is that I admire Japan the most from all the countries; because since I can remember my dream was to go to Japan and interact with their culture, and the other reason is because Japan is the most advanced country when it comes to Science albeit Mechanical, Computer, Environmental, or any other fields.
When it comes to culture, according to me Japan has the most fascinating culture, and I sincerely hope to be given the opportunity to experience it firsthand. I'm especially interested in Japanese history, and the different eras that accompanied Japanese history, like Heian Period most noted for its literature and art.

In addition to my academic activities, I also gave time to my community. I take part in many social activities experiencing work in a group together with many people from different backgrounds. Therefore I can adapt to new situations and make friends easily. I am also comfortable with individual work as well working together in a group. I have interest in Mechanical Engineering especially Robotics. I wish to develop my knowledge and skills in this area in order to become a good engineer. It's my dream to contribute to the development of this field in my country. However, my country has not taken such a great step in this field.

This scholarship will provide me an opportunity of experiencing an international education. Being a country with many students from different culture and nationalities, Japan is a perfect choice for me. I can meet different kind of people who will give me different points of view, which will be both valuable and enriching. This will improve my ability in interacting with other people from different cultures and nationalities, thus, contributing for my flexibility and creativity, besides the cultural and language gains.

I believe this scholarship will open my path to improve myself in Japan. This scholarship will become a springboard and my first step towards my goal. I will work very hard and finish my master degree if I can get this opportunity. After that, I plan to continue my education after I finish my master degree. I sincerely hope that my qualification and educational experiences will meet your requirements, but I also understand that I'm qualified, eager and prepared to meet all of the challenges I will be presented with. I, therefore would be most grateful if you could give my application form in your most favorable consideration
