To: The German Embassy in Amman, with respect Motivation letter for the masters program application in Germany Dear Sir/Madam, My name is ******, I am 23 years old electrical engineer. I've born in a family that appreciates the importance of education. Since my childhood I had a passion towards engineering and to become an engineer just like my father. It was my dream. My parents noticed that at an early age so they encouraged me to join the secondary school for outstanding students, before joining the University of Technology in Baghdad. I often think about developing myself further after graduation, establishing my own experience, and building a successful career. While studying Electrical Power Engineering, Power System Analysis, Electrical machines, and Power Electronics in the Bachelor's degree. I was very interested in the generation of "Sustainable Energy", because I believe that it will be the most effective solution in the near future for the countries that are Suffering from a shortage of electrical power supply, especially in my home country (Iraq), I preferred "The Modeling and Simulation of Photovoltaic systems" as my final year project, and I was planning to get a job that links my future career with that area of activity for one to two years after graduating before moving on and obtaining a master’s degree in the same field, because I believe that getting some work experience after graduation gives me the opportunity to have a clearer goal compared to a fresh graduate, Unfortunately, I didn't find the desired job yet. But I found the time to expand my knowledge of these subjects after graduation through further reading and research with scientific developments in this area. My country is in dire need of expertise in field of the renewable energy; my country is not getting enough attention from international experts due to security reasons. Having a master's degree in the field of Sustainable Energy from an advanced country in this field will make me eligible for a job that develops my experience, I may also be able to acquire internships before making my way back to my home country which enhance my knowledge of working as well as allowing me to benefit my home country. I decided to take my bachelor degree to the next level, and pursue a Master degree in Germany because it is one of the most advanced countries in the field of Sustainable Energy and not only have a solid curriculum to fullfil my academic needs, but also have a great environment and reputation that attracts engineering and science students. And what encourages me further is the extensive support for international students and the low master's tuition fees. Studying in Germany also Gives me the opportunity to learn a new foreign language which is appreciated by employers and also enhance my CV. After spending a significant amount of time doing my research, I came to the conclusion that the Clausthal University of Technology (TU Clausthal) was my first choice, because it is one of the most well-known and reputable universities in Germany, it has a high Percentage of international students. And it's regularly ranked among the Top German universities in the majority of its engineering and science programs by CHE University Rankings (which is the most comprehensive and most detailed university ranking in the German-speaking countries by the well-regarded German newspaper "DIE ZEIT "). Certainly the better the environment, the better result we can achieve, in relevance to that, TU Clausthal located in a small university town which is the perfect environment for studying. It also has one of the best German language institutes, and it allows me to study the German language in Germany instead of my home country which saves time and improves the quality of learning. I am so interested in the master program in the field of "Energy technology" that is being offered by "TU Clausthal" because this is exactly the field that I aim to study, it will be very useful for my future engineering career, and the lectures matches the courses that I studied in the in the Bachelor's degree (which are mentioned above) specially the power plant engineering, and electrical engineering lectures, it's also relevant to my final year project, Also the master's degree in the field of energy technology is required in the practice of energy companies and system suppliers of renewable and conventional energy technologies. I've graduated from one of the best universities in my country, Although I didn't have the suitable study environment and the sufficient time for studying and my general average in the B.Sc. was not satisfying for me, but I really believe that with my strong will and enthusiasm to develop myself and the motive to serve my country and by devoting myself for studying in the Ideal study environment of "TU Clausthal", I can pass the required German language level and complete the master's program successfully. It will bring about a more independent person out of me that can work his way through life with a lot of his own effort.
I humbly request you to consider my application and grant me a student visa to pursue my master's degree in Germany for which I shall be highly grateful.

Are you planning to use this motivation letter in your application to the German university? Or, is it only to get a student visa? If it is only for a visa, it does not to be so long.
