Letter of Motivation to get a scholarship at University

Hey,

I need to write a letter of motivation oulining why I want to study at the university I applied in. It has to be from 500 - 750 words, and I have until May 29th, 2009 to write it.

The only problem is I do not know how to start. I did my O Levels and am currently giving my AS Level exams. I applied for an undergraduate program in Chemical Engineering. I got accepted, but in order to get a scholarship, I need to write this letter.

Can you please inform me on how to start this letter, and how to ouline it. I just need a quick boost on what I should write on, what to leave out, and how to conclude it. I believe I can do the rest by myself.
