Letter of motivation, Please help!

Hi! I am fairly new to writing formal letters in english. So I would really appreciate if anyone could take a look at this letter of motivation for my Bachelor's Programme in Physiotherapy

I feel that the letter is rather short, how long should a letter of motivation usually be?
Is there any type of information I should add?

Dear Sir or Madam

I am writing to apply for the Bachelor's Programme in Physiotherapy

I apply with great interest. After working in different health related proffesions I have finally decided that physiotherapy is the right choice for me. I have experience of working as a masseuse but I always felt that I wanted more knowledge so I could help the clients even further. I ended up taking a break from it, so I could go back to college and finish my last year of school required to become a pharmacy technician.

After working part-time in a local pharmacy for 2 years while going to school I realized I wanted a more practical type of work, where I could put my interests in physical activity, anatomy and physiology better to use.

Last fall I contacted Bjørknes Høyskole and received a booklist for the Physiotherapy Bachelor programme, ordered some of the books and started reading on my own. I feel really interested in all the subjects and feel certain that this is the correct choice for me.

My future plans after completing the Bachelor's Programme in Physiotherapy is to get a few years experience, then pursue a Manualtherapist Programme
