Letter Writing

Letter of motivation (please for correction)

Dear Sir/Madame

I am a twenty-five year old student at the University of Applied Sciences ***. I am studying Architecture in my sixth semester. In my seventh semester I will make the Bachelors degree.

The studies at the university are held in two languages: in German and English. Of course, German is my native language, but there are courses which are held in english, where we are together with international exchange students. So there is a communication, social cantact and exchange with students from different cultures. Last year there was a student from brazil in my course and he told me a lot about his country and culture, he fascinated me for it.

Brazil is a great challenge for me, because it has its own culture, identity, way of life and origin which are totally different from the European culture. To get in contact with a lot of different people and their culture and get to know and experience them personally are very important stages to develop your personality and broaden your horizons.

The importance of international mobility for students is becoming more and more emphasised and I am very eager to gain practical experience by working abroad. This will not only help to improve prospects for my future professional career, but will allow me to learn more about architecture through the work in your office and your country and culure as well.

Thank you very much for considering my request. I look forward to your positive response.

Sincerely yours,
