I would really appreciate if someone could read my letter and give me some suggestions how to improve it. I am applying for a HR position and as I don't have any previous experience I wanted to point out my other skills that I thought would be welcomed in this profession. The position I am applying for consists of providing administrative and operational support to expatriates who move into my country. Thank you for your time!
Dear Sir or Madam,
As a highly motivated individual who loves new challenges I would like to apply for the position of overseas assignments coordinator.
Being former expatriate myself, I fully understand unique personal and professional challenges working abroad brings and how important it is to have dedicated HR support in the process. I strongly believe that my organizational and problem solving skills would maximize your employees’ performance by letting them focus on their assignments rather than worrying about non-work related issues in a foreign country.
Working in customer service industry has helped me to build strong interpersonal skills and to communicate in a diplomatic and professional manner. Offering assistance was not only a vital part of my job, but something I thoroughly enjoyed doing. Therefore, this position would give me an excellent opportunity to help my co-workers and have a positive impact on their expatriate experience.
As a part of multicultural and multinational group in my previous role, I learned to adjust quickly and to appreciate different perspectives my colleagues brought to the team. Believing that bringing our differences makes the business stronger is something I greatly agree with and value about your organization.
Joining a global company like XXX whose work culture embodies inspiration, challenge and diversity would help me reach my full potential and gain valuable experience.
This being said I look forward to hearing from you and meeting you in person. Thank you for your consideration.
Yours sincerely, XY
