The purpose of this letter is not only to describe my educational and professional background, but also to focus your attention on how motivated I am to start PhD program in [] offered by your laboratory at [].
I graduated with a Master's Degree in electronics Science from Andhra Loyola College at Archaya Nagarjuna University in 2005; in 2003 I finished a university degree in Mathematics and physics in Nagarjuna University in India. Actually I am working as a Senior Development engineer in Elmot Alternators Pvt Ltd from December 2007 before that worked as a Junior Development engineer and even worked as a Lecturer for 1 year, and I am preparing myself to pursue a PhD in [].
I am Aware of the challenge represented by choosing [] in terms of need for adaptation to new tools and manners of research; however I believe in my ability and will to point my scientific background and experience in such a promising research area, a choice that fits best my objectives and ambitions.
There are several reasons why I choose research as my career: (1) the process of exercising my reasoning ability to understand and explain complex phenomena gives me satisfaction; (2) the mental and physical hard work which is undergone in this process to achieve something new is always fascinating, and pushes me to strive for more. My way of contributing to the research field need not necessarily be something new, but should be useful to the scientific community and mankind.
As [] University has important research activities in this area, I would like to be given the opportunity to be one of its prestigious research groups. I am sure that my passion to computer science related research fields, along with my skills, knowledge and competence would make me a valuable member of your research team, Hence I would appreciate if you consider my application for developing a PhD under your supervision.
