Letter of Motivation

Hi guys!

I need some help for my letter of motivation for studying abroad in Moscow but my English is not so good.

I'd be very grateful for any tips.

Dear Ms. XXX

I am xxxxx, xx years old and was born in Kazakhstan. Now my family and I are living for 17 years in Germany. Just after finishing my commercial high school, I started an apprenticeship as a bank clerk which I completed only in two years. Throughout this exciting time my interests were focuced on stocks, investment consulting and portfolio management. Even so I wanted to gain some experience in the insurance sector. Therefore I worked as an insurance sales assistent at xxxx. Nevertheless my interest for financial markets and investment consulting was so high that I decided to study at xxx University. The University was my first choice because of its majors which allow me to study especially financial markets. Due to my knee surgery I missed the second semester but nevertheless I managed to get good marks in the exams. I'm currently studying in the third semester and again I had the last knee surgery. But I'm very optimistic and ambitious so I will pass my exams well!

My vocational goal is to become a well-skilled financial consultant and planner.

I'm going to choose the majors financial markets, money and international finance as well as economic theory to achieve my goal. Also I will look after a part-time job at a bank especially in the asset and portfolio management. If I pass my Bachelor well, I will start studying Master in the Switzerland because of its well study offer in Banking and Finance.

Nowadays the global financial markets are closely linked. This was particularly seen during the financial crisis in 2007 as the US subprime crisis set off a domino effect in the world and cause a global recession. At the moment the USA and the European Union stuck in a crisis.

In my point of view it is very important for an financial advisor to get to know personally some foreign countries and their political and economical system as well as the culture.

Therefore I want to use the possibility of the xxxx University to study abroad and gather more life experience. I'm already looking forward to meet interesting people.

Moscow is a major political, economic, cultural, scientific, religious, financial, educational, and transportation centre of Russia. Also it is the seventh largest city proper in the world. The famous Moscow Kremlin and the Red Square with the Saint Basil's Cathedral are one of the World Heritage Sites. It is admirable that Moscows economy constitute the fifth part of the Russian GDP, considering an average economic growth rate of 5-10% per anno in Russia. But these are not the only reasons why I want to study in Moscow. Because of my Russian roots I will get a great possibility to improve my Russian language skills. Furthermore I personally can see how the Russian culture has changed in the last ten years.

The Faculty of Economics of xxx University and the Faculty of Economics of xxxx University have a completed exchange contract. The Faculty of Economics at the xxx offers really interessting modules which I can not study at my University. I would be very glad to study at the xxx, the most reputated and best University in Russia. This experience of studying abroad in Russia at the xxx will definitively help me to achieve my goal!
