Letter of Motivation
Hello
I'm writing a letter of motivation and as I am not from UK I was hoping that someone could review it for me and tell me if it is good to send it to the university of England or not. And what should I do to improve it.

Dear Sir or Madam:
I am a Lithuanian student from “ZZZ” gymnasium. I would like to apply for Bachelor’s degree in XXX at the University of YYY. My chosen subjects are mathematics, informatics and English; therefore I would like to bring them on a new level and to make them part of my life as my carrier. I consider the University of YYY as one of the biggest stepping stones in life.
I have more than 12 years of experience with computers, and games. Also I am a little afraid to do mistakes, so when I make a project or do a job I try to do it in most perfect way I can. If I do mistake I always try to prevent it from happening ever again. Last year I attended Economics academy in my school; from there I learned the values of teamwork, how to work hard and how to command a small group of people. In my spare time I like reading books and keep track of new science discoveries and technologies. I love working with multimedia programs. Last year I made quite decent video project with Sony Vegas, and designed my own school almost singlehandedly with Google SketchUp. Then I started working with Pascal and after that C++ and Java. Until now I am still working with free Pascal.
Since age of thirteen my curiosity for games grew tremendously. I was fascinated by game developers: how they designed games from scratch, built game engines, dub characters, and build levels and much more. Everything in game development amuses me. So I started to follow the game industry, how new technologies were brought to development and how older versions were updated. Keeping track on games and how they were created was like a hobby for me. Thanks to this hobby I think I have the necessary basic understanding of what the computer game is and how it is created. For the start I would like to experiment on mobile phones and eventually level up to the normal games.
As my carrier will probably be an international, I feel that the decision to study abroad is a great investment in developing my language skills, and broaden my life experience and knowledge. Therefore I think that the University of YYY is a great choice. Wide selection of modules and a lot of attention to EU students are what made my decision to choose your University. Competitive lecturers, great study atmosphere and a chance to meet, and to learn with other country students is like a huge bonus to my decision. That is why I choose your University over one of Lithuania’s. Thank you for considering my application and I am looking forward to your positive reply.
