Letter of intent, Shifting Course

Hi! I am currently studying for B.S. in Hospitality Management but later in life, I found out that my passion is more geared towards B.S. in Information Technology. I would be really grateful if you can help me improve my letter.

Dear Dr. Micheal X. XXXXXXX XX,

I am writing this letter to request a shift in my field of study. I want to switch from B.S. in Hospitality Management to B.S. in Information Technology. I have recently found out that I have been becoming unmotivated to continue with my studies and started freelancing instead on my computer. After a few months, I noticed that I have a passion for working on and with computers and I even have more talent for it than working in the hospitality industry.

I understand that transfer/change from one course to another can be difficult, but I know this is an important step to help me grow into what I want to become in the future. I'm prepared to undertake any procedures required for me to shift course.
