My name is Soji and I've been following this forum for a while now and it has greatly assisted me in writing mine but i still feel my Letter of intent needs a great deal of work. I checked out many programs whose strength is exceptional in this field and you are the best fit for me.

I am a final year medical student, studying at The University of XXXXXXXX. I have a very strong academic record that classifies me among the 3 best students in my class and I am confident of graduating from my medical program in June 2016 with an expected grade that is above 90 percent. This prepares and makes me a good candidate for this master program.

I look forward to studying at XXXX University because of the unique didactic system that focuses more on practicums enabling students to gain hands-on experiences in both clinical and community sector. Apart from that, your respectable university has an incomparable facility for students, creating a comfortable environment to adapt and learn accurately, ranking you as the top comprehensive university in the Maclean’s magazine for the past 5 years.

Over the preceding years, I have had a few valuable leadership roles. In Secondary school, I was the head prefect and the overall best student of my class. In addition to that, I was awarded two distinguished scholarships to do a diploma in Information Technology in a computer institution. In the university, I was a student ambassador to various International Medical Students’ Congresses such as KISCOMS, ISCOMS, EMSA, LIMSC and ESC. These are well known organizations across Europe. This involved me traveling, attending various business lunch meetings with notable medical innovative companies, and attending lectures given by reputable Nobel laureate winners, many experts and professors. I also gained few relevant proactive skills by participating in various pre-courses such as medical statistics, critical reading and how to write a scientific abstract.

I volunteered for the student body of the XXXXX’ Association as an international relations officer and a public relations officer for the XXXXX Medical Students’ Association in my school. I was also part of the organizing committee that organized 3 various medical conferences in my university. Furthermore, I did elective programs in teaching hospitals within Germany, United Kingdom and Israel. This allowed me to acquire a first class hospital-working attitude. Moreover, I learnt about the issues and challenges met by medical professionals and patients in these areas. These few experiences of mine have taught me to work and learn efficiently at a highest level even in chaos. It also fortified me as a team player, enhancing my ability to work effectively with a large group of people, developed my mental and physical skills in prioritizing properly.

Getting a master's degree in public health will help strengthen and complement my medical degree towards becoming an expert in the field of community and occupational health, gaining a well-defined perception beyond clinical practice, intensifying my view in the limitless health sector, imparting me with the intricate policy and politics of public health in an innovative and developing world. In addition, it will give me invaluable skills on how to contribute to tackle a complex set of problem that ensues the healthcare system and services in my country, XXXX. I am sure that this program will develop my mind and support me in generating diversified ideas on how to promote healthy behaviors and habits within a given population. In a 10-year prospect, I foresee myself getting to the highest peak of my career, commended for my works, be amongst Nobel Laureate Prize winners and a potential key player in the society.
