Letter of giving news

Situation: write a letter to a friend telling her about the party you have recently been to, describing an interesting person that you met there.

Dear A,
Remember that I told you about the prom would have been happening in my school? Well, I was a part of the party two days ago. It was an amazing night, as I met many students that I've never seen before in school. I want to tell you an interested guy of those.
Normally, I am kind of a person that not good at making new friends. But this boy has something special and completely take my attention. So, I plucked up the courage to say "hi" to him. He's a friendly person. We had a long conversation. His name is B. He has the same age as me. Surpisely, his house is not far away from mine.
He's very kind and generous when he took me home. While walking side by side, I noticed that he's taller than I've thought and his smile is so warm like the sunlight brightens up the day. At the end of the day, we gave each other the phone number and said ''goodbye".
I hope we will meet in the next time. I can't wait to see you talk more about him. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
