Letter Writing

Letter of explanation for drinking offenses in past

I have moved to the state of maryland, and trying to get a job as a CNA. However, I think the background checks are stopping me from getting a job. I have multiple offenses in my past related to drinking. My life has now changed, however, my past keeps me from moving forward.

How do I go about constructng such a letter. The state has certified me as a CNA.

Help....

Frustrated and wanting to move on.

If it was me I would: Start by briefly explaining your circumstances at the time and then mention how you have changed your life around. Conclude on how you old life is having an impact on your present and how you wish you could change it but as you can't how you can be certain never to end up there again (with examples). Nobody can write this letter for you and if they do it will look like a counsellor wrote it rather than yourself.
