I'm taking a course in writing now and I'm practicing for the final. Below is an exercise " writing a letter of complaint" and I answered it. Please, would you mind underlining the mistakes for me?
Thanks all in advance
Dear Sir / Madam
I am writing this letter to make a complaint about my neighbour's dogs which continuously bark during our sleep time. The noise of these dogs has annoyed us since 4th of January. In addition, these dogs do not seem to be fed sufficiently and they need veterinary care due to the poor state of their overall health.
My family has been forced to change our lifestyle pattern because of these dogs. Firstly, my siblings and I used to return to sleep around 10 p.m. Within one month, our sleep patterns have changed dramatically. Instead of studying and dedicating our time to doing our homework; we sleep during the daytime after school and stay up after midnight. Furthermore, to improve my fitness I used to wake up at five in the mornings before school time in order to exercise. However, this habit has dropped off my schedule because I am too lethargic caused by the changes to my sleeping time.
The physical state of these dogs is also very poor. They look very skinny, dirty and weak because they are not fed well. Moreover, most of the time they are left outside without kennels even in bad weather. Besides, I have never seen my neighbour taking the dogs to exercise and walk. In my opinion, this is the main reason why these dogs' behaviour is very aggressive and awful.
I have spoken to the dog's owner twice (on 13th January and 1st February) about the lack of proper care of these dogs but, unfortunately, this has resulted in a non- positive response. My father had also called RSPCA but nothing has been done about this matter yet.
I would really appreciate if you look into this problem and I trust that you have the control to resolve this matter and take these dogs from this man if necessary and provide better shelter for them.
yours faithfull,
