Letter of Aplication, could someone check it?
Hi everyone,
I've seen it done here before, so I want to ask you guys if someone could read my letter of aplication for the International Business Administrations study?
Dear Sir / Madam,
With this letter I want to apply for the International Business Administrations program and tell why I am interested in IBA at the .
My name is and I was born on the 7th of December 1992. I started my first year in a VWO+ class at the Pius X College in Oesgeest. After doing this for 3 years, I went to 4 VWO with the N&T (Natural Sciences and Technology) profile. I chose the additional subjects economics and M&O (a subject that looks a bit like Business Economics, with domains such as marketing, accountancy and organization).
I want to do IBA in because I like the combination of lectures and tutorials. I can work good individually, but I also like working in groups. In a group you might just come up with some better ideas as when you work alone. Also the economical studies in , according to ‘Elsevier’, are high ranked. And off course that IBA is an English study is a big plus. I think mastering the English language is very important nowadays. Certainly with an eye at developments as globalization and fading borders, the English language becomes more and more important. Also has some great partner Universities where I hope to study a semester.
I’ve been at scouting, and there we used to organize our own weekends. I always thought that was a nice challenge. To make sure there were enough meals and that we had a good program, and that all within the budget. At the moment I work at a restaurant in called ‘De Bierhoeve’. I find it interesting to see how even such a small restaurant needs to manage a lot. It’s not just cook the meal, but they must be sure they have enough supplies, manage their personnel and make sure all the equipment works proper.
With an exchange program within our school I’ve been to . I had never been there before, and it was remarkable that it had such a different culture. I hope to get to know other countries as well during the IBA study.
In the future I hope to acquire my IBA bachelor and after that a master. In my later life I would like to work for a multinational, it could be in the , but I prefer a job abroad.
