LEtter for salary increment

Hi Clive,

i was going thru your blog regarding drafting salary increment letter. i hv also the sm problem.

i am writing it you. plz correct it if theres any mistakes.

the letter follows

Dear Madam,

Sub: Salary Increment

I've been working in our trust for more than 4 years. I believe that I have done my job well and to the best of my ability, and my skills have improved significantly. I now have a thorough understanding of the accounting system.

My responsibilities include making daily payment & receipts entry, maintaining the fee collections, bank works , gathering user requirements and taking on the responsibilities of my colleagues during their absence and so on.

In addition, I have recently been married, and blessed with a baby girl. It is very difficult to maintain family expenses as the surrounding economic condition is very expensive. The petrol price, food items, medical help & transportation all the said things are in our daily needs. we cannot avoid it.
My senior accountant, he increased his salary by 20% himself without consulting our MD. We two of his colleagues asked him to put our problem with MD. He turned back. And in other department also employyees are getting some 80% incrment in DA. We are punctual in everything, no doubts.

Therefore, I would like to request a salary increment by atleast 15%.
