Letter for designation change

Could you please suggest any changes or additions in the letter posted below.

I need the reply asap..as i need to sent the letter to my manager in a day or two.

Please amend the letter for language or content.

Respected Sir,



This is regarding the designation change for the year 2008.



Currently I am holding the Designation for Assistant Test Engineer and it’s supposed to be changed to Test Engineer in June 2008.



I have joined Testing Group on , I have been hired with the clause that at the time of hiring they will keep my current role for me i.e. process assistant and later next year end i.e. 2007 they will change it as Test Engineer.



As per the details given to me it has not been changed so I raised the same in March 2008 and I have been told that it will be changed after the appraisal cycle 2008, as the appraisal cycle and promotion cycle are not interrelated.



On my follow up with my current Business leader XYZ I have been told that my designation change will now take place in November or December 2008. The reason given to me for this is not satisfactory to me.



I joined company on ; it’s been nearly 4 years that I have been working at Band 2 Level 1, holding this level for such long is very discouraging and de-motivating.
