Dear Mike,

I am really glad that you have written to me. I am really surprised and excited about you coming to my town to study Spanish. I didn’t know about your interest in my mother tongue. How long have you been studying it?

As I’ve read in your letter, you seen to have a lot of spare time. It’s a shame that you are not keen on sport, because Huesca is surrounded by mountains and we could organise many trips. Can I perhaps convice you to do an easy hiking route? You know that I’m not the fitest person, so I wouldn’t twist your arm if it wasn’t like that. Another possibility would be visiting villages. Huesca has a great number of medieval villages that are stunning. I’ve been recently to Ainsa, you can google it to see images.

If you like to do also indoor activities, it could be a good idea to eat out. My town is really popular for it’s cuisine. You can have a really fantastic meal for not too much money. I don’t know which level of Spanish you already have, but we also have here a theatre and a cinema. Although they also have sometimes English spoken films. Of course we can also party hard, if you want! You know that we are world wide known for bein party animals!

Since I work I don’t know if I can spend too much time with you doing these activities, but I’m sure that you are going to make a lot of friends in the language course, so you will be always accompanied.
