Can you have a look at these two letters and correct any mistakes?
A short note;
Yesterday in the corridor's university I lost important notes. These are the notes I need for tomorrow's exam.
Please help me find them or it?

An informal letter
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to complain about an MP player that I bought from your website on 15 March. The MP3 player you sent me does not work, it is useless and it keeps crashing. It was an extremely unfortunate event/situation because it was a gift for my close friend to celebrate her 18th birthday.
I was very dissapointed when it turned out that the MP3 player was damaged. I would like to receive a full refund of my money. Could you exchange it for a new one?
