Letter about the garbage problem. Please review.

Write a letter to the environment officer in your area complaining about the garbage problem in your neighborhood and say

- What is causing the problem?

- Why is it bothering you?

- Suggest a solution to rectify the problem.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter to bring your attention to the garbage problem of our area.

Many residents of this area do not use receptacles which your office has placed on the corner of the streets. Instead, they throw their trash openly on streets. Besides, your staff does not come on time to collect that despite several complaints.

This is a serious concern as people tend to remain unhealthy now. People of our neighborhood, including children have started to suffer from various diseases, such as malaria and typhoid. The reason is mosquitoes and flies have increased manifold due to the rubbish. If they are not controlled now, the situation would be deteriorated further. In this area, people cannot afford expensive medicines; thus, I am extremely worrisome.

The best remedial measure is to ask residents to throw their garbage in the dustbins otherwise face penalties. And send your team early morning so that they pick it up on time.
