Letter Writing

Letter

Hi!
so I'm trying to write a letter about a book and I have a lot of questions I have to ask. Can I just ask them or do I have to state something first?
for example " I read that you were cruelly kicked by the Kapos, do you have any scars from them? Alan Gratz wrote about your family in Krako´w at the beginning of the book, did you originally live in the Krako´w or did you move there with your family before the war? Did you live with just your family or with your aunts and uncles as well?"
I hope you can help me!!!
Thanks.
