What is the difference between the following sentences:

-Let's go, or we'll be late.
-Let's get going, or we'll be late.

Maybe the second one is just a little more informal.

"Let's get going." implies more of a demand to move as in "let's start moving.", whereas "let's go" is more or less similar in meaning with "shall we go?". "Shall we go?" is a politer expression though.
