The pattern is let + object + verb unless the object is very long and complex.

She let slip the fact that John had seen Louise in that compromising position.

And these are usually avoided by rewording them.

To me (BrE) they would both be OK but mean different things.

She let slip our plan - she told someone about our plan when she wasn't supposed to.

She let our plan slip - her negligence caused our project to fall behind the planned timescale.
