"let me know when you have a plan"

is this a correct sentence?
or this one would be better:

"let me know when you will have a plan"

one more question:

what is the difference between:

"i just called"

and

"i have just called"

Because one sentence is saying that the person will come up with a plan and you want to know it, the other is just letting you know when/if they come up with a solution you would like to know (not know what the plan is just that they have one).

I just called is the most common and better of the two sentences. I would say I have just called if I was unsucessful when I called, and then as

why would you use "have" for unsuccessful?
is there an explanation for this>?
