Let me know about the order in english

if I want to say that " I went to the school, and after that I came back to the home", then can I also say " I came back to the home after going to school "? or is there different way of saying that?

I meant, is there more short way to say? if I give you example, " I came back to the home, done the school task " like that using past participle (actually I really want to know saying with past participle in that case)

Thanks for replying Clive!

but, how about if I say coming home first?

as you said "I came home after I had gone to school", can you make it shorter? as general speaking english in common living.

please, give me a inform either^^.

Hi,

I came home after I went to school.

You don't really need Past Perfect, because the word 'after' makes the sequence clear.
