"let life pass you by" vs "let life pass you"
Ex) I think the better question to ask is whether you are going to do something about it or just let life pass you by.
"let life pass you by" and "let life pass you" have the same meaning?

The expression is "pass someone by". It is not "pass someone". To let life pass you does not make sense.
