As a school teacher what do we say generally.

Hello students today I will take a lesson or class on chapter 5 of computer book.

Hello students today I will take classes of Mr Gupta as he's absence due to some work and I am the substitute of him.

As a teacher or student do I do classes/lessons or take classes/lessons.
