Hello teachers!
Here, I have planned some activities in English classes and below are teacher talks.
Please check any grammatical mistakes and any suggestion is welcomed!
OK. We have learned two different intonations and their different meanings. Let me summarize for you. When one's voice rises on the question, it means that he or she couldn't hear what the speaker said. On the other hand, if the voice falls on the question, it means he or she need more information.
Now you are going to hear a short story and it is also a telephone conversation just like the text. (Hand out printed material)
While you are listening, draw intonation lines above the appropriate sentences.
Check with students whether they have drew the intonation lines at the right place.
Now then, practice this dialogue with your partner. Try to read it more pronounced intonation. And those who are going to be the grandmother has to speak slowly. Like a real grandmother. When you're finished, change parts.
The teacher goes around the classroom and corrects students pronunciation as well as the intonations.
The summer vacation is just around the corner. Do you have any special plans? Well, we may not be able to do those things what we really want to do. But today we are going to plan our trip. You're going to be divided into groups. Four members, in each group. Then make a pair in the group.
Now, I'm going to give two kinds of brochures to each group, one is a brochure for a ski trip and the other is for a surfing trip. Read the brochure carefully first. I'll give you 3 minutes.
Ask the other couple questions to fill the blanks of this page. When asking questions, take turns. If you have any trouble with it, just raise your hand. Alright?

I want two teams to come to the front and explain why your team chose to take that trip. Any volunteer?
