Hi,
"Our company is less up against the big names than creating bikes that embody the DIY spirit." I came across this sentence today and even though I understand the meaning 'up against', I'm slightly confused as to what role it plays in this sentence. Does it mean that competition isn't a problem for them or that they don't care about it?
"When I was in my first year in law school, history occupied most of the bulk of my workload." Does this sentence sound natural? (I had to study the history of law a lot during my first months at the university.)
Thank you.
