Dear teachers,
Please let me know the questions related to the script of 60 minutes:
1. Hamdi Ulukaya: And if you look at the plant and the-- and the napkin, it’s basically the similar-- similar design. The piping in this plant is-- if you put it together-- from here to Chicago and we built them less than a year.
=> Should "less than a year" be changed to "fewer than a year"?
2. There were some initial growing pains: a shipment had to be recalled because of mold contamination and early production delays necessitated an emergency loan. But the business survived and has thrived in large part because of Hamdi’s competitive nature.
=> Could you let me know what "in large part" describe?
Does this mean "the business has thrived largely" or "largely/mainly because of Hamdi's competitive nature"?
3. Hamdi Ulukaya: Back to France. Just kidding aside. What I mean is you cannot be in the world of business-- when you don’t have this consciousness of winning. But in a right way.
=> According to the dictionary (Longman Contemporary), I think, the sentence above should be modified as follows: Back to France. Just kidding aside, what I mean is you cannot be in the world of business-- when you don’t have this consciousness of winning.
=> What is the best expression between "in a right way" and "in the right"?
Could you let me know the difference in meaning, please?
Thanks and best regards,
David Kim
