Can we use 'Lend' while saying

Please lend me a chance to speak to you.

I don't think it works.

I'd use "give" in this case.

"Lend" is "let me borrow." Eg, "Lend me your ears."

"Give me a chance" is the common expression. (We get to keep it!)

"Lend me your attention" is borderline. Our attention is not really ours. What would we do with it?
