Left or quit

Today I left everything (means all my household chores) and taught her skipping.

Is the sentence natural?

Thanks.

Good question, friend,

I understand exactly you mean when you say "today I left everything and taught her how to skip."

"Left everything" is not immediately understandable. The usual expression is "dropped everything".

Today I paused doing my household chores to teach her how to skip rope.

Today I dropped everything and taught her how to skip.

Or 'to skip rope', depending which of the two you mean.
