Led by

Sources said a group of 12 armed militants belonging to SS faction of the BTM party led by PP raided the village of AA and abducted Mr. LLK, 48, a member of ZZ Council, from his home.

(1) What impression do you get by “led by PP” – BTM party being led by PP or 12 armed militants led by PP? What I want to mean is PP leading the 12 armed militants in the raid.

(2) If structure does not reflect what I wanted to mean, please rephrase it for me.

(3) Are there any other mistakes in the sentence? Thanks.

Thanks Avangi. This is what I wanted. The problem was that the thought of puttiing the whole idea into three complete sentences did never occur to me.
