Leave window open halfway.

"I left my window open halfway before I was out of home."

Is the sentence understandable?

I want to mean you open windows just 50%, but I don't know how to say it naturally. So I chose 'halfway' to describe how wide my window is left open.

Thank you.

Halfway is fine, but your sentence has other problems. I left my window [halfway open / open halfway] before I left the house . Here’s another option: I left my window half open before I left the house .
