I would like to write a letter to my teacher for requesting one day leave for my mother's visa interview .

Dear Madam,
I am writing this letter to inform you that I will not be able to come to class on 28th due to my mother's interview which is scheduled on the same day.
My mother’s visa interview has been scheduled on 28th Sep at 7:45 AM so I must bring her to visa office because my mother doesn’t know the city and, she is not educated.
Please understand my situation and grant me one day leave for the same.
