no I thought it would be good to link up english families with those learning english for informal weekends as house guests to improve the students language skills and also to add the dimension of being with an english family.

your thoughts would be appreciated

If you come to an English language school in the UK then they will often arrange for you to live with a host family while you are on the course.

I don't know whether you are still asking the above question but for your information I live in Stratford upon Avon UK and have been welcoming foreign students into my home for many years and while they live as family I also give one to one English Conversation lessons.
