Vocabulary

Leakage or leaking

Hello,

I'd like to ask you which word should I use in this sentence:

"People become more and more aware of leakage/leaking to the internet of private information ..."

Actually, I don't like this sentence with either word. Could you please suggest a word which is more appropriate?

Thank you

Someone may publish their private photo or information on a website and later it's "leaked" somewhere else, without the knowledge of this person.
