laying out in two or more ways

Hi,

Is this correct?

They are expressing great interest in and emphasis on the English language learning.

They will affect from the goods we buy to ways we pay for them, to ways to travel, not to mention, ways to eat some food.

Sorry one more question: Does this mising tenses OK? I think they are. Do you think in instances like this, the present and present contiuing tenses can be thought of as the same? I think it talks about what he routinely does while doing something although it could be just two present tenses as well with almost no difference.

Sometimes, I play with my brother while talking/I talk on the phone.

Anonymous They are expressing great interest in and emphasis on the English language learning. " expressing great interest in" is fine. For some reason I don't quite find the next one natural, but it's probably okay.

  • " I realize it's not underlined, and I understand the emphasis you're looking for, but "learning the English language" would be much more natural.

I'd rather say, "showing great emphasis on," ("showing" also works for "great interest," but "expressing" is more elegant.") But don't agonize over
