Lay on the couch

Which of the following sentences is correct? (According to my opinion, the comma before the word 'eating' should be deleted. Therefore, I think #2 is correct. Am I right?)

1. All afternoon he lay on the couch, eating corn chips, sipping coke, and watching YouTube videos on his iPad.

2. All afternoon he lay on the couch eating corn chips, sipping coke, and watching YouTube videos on his iPad.
