I have a postgraduate degree in Law (LLM) from a UK law school/university, and I'm wondering how to describe myself in my job application cover letters. Do I call myself "a law graduate", "a law postgraduate", or something entirely different? The former doesn't seem entirely correct, and the latter sounds strange. My first degree was in a different subject and is completely unrelated to the jobs I'm applying for (to the extent that I don't want to mention it at all in the application).
Similarly, do I say that "I graduated" from a law school if I hadn't done my first degree there, just the LLM?
Finally, in general, can one still call themselves "a graduate" if they completed their studies 5-10 years earlier?
This is a British English question, as I realise it might look different in the US/elsewhere.
In case this matters, the LLM was awarded by both, the law school and the uni it is associated with.
Thanks in advance!
