I've never heard that before, but I assume it simply means "laughed very, very hard."

LOL is for Laughing Out Loud. It's just a way to say in chat "Oh, that was funny!"

LMAO is Laughing My A.. Off, which means you laughed even hard.

ROFLMAO is Rolling on Floor, Laughing My A... Off, which is probably the same intensity as "Laughed my lungs out."

Hi! I would have to say that, from the British English point of view, this expression is non-existent. It sounds rather like something someone has translated directly from their mother tongue! Direct translation does not always work and should be avoided. This proves that the study of idiomatic expressions is very important to improving your standard of English.

In the UK we might 'cough our lungs out' but not laugh them out.
