Laugh fit to kill

Hello....

And didn’t you laugh fit to kill when the knights slipped off their horses and clattered to the ground? You'd hog-greased the saddles.

I'd like some help on the meaning of "laugh fit to kill".

pructus I'd like some help on the meaning of "laugh fit to kill". It's an almost overly creative and unusual made-up expression that means "laugh extremely hard and long", I suppose. "fit to kill" is not added to many verbs.
