Hi, Does anyone know the Latin of "if anything is worth doing, its worth doing well". Perhaps quisquam est dignitas effectus , is est dignitas effectus bene. But others may offer you a more accurate and elegant version.

Hi,

Perhaps vestri praesentia gravis est. Probably clumsy. I'm better at Latin dances.

Here's a version from two Latin scholars. One of whom has taught it and the other still uses it as an RC priest.

"Quod dignum sit facere, dignum est facere bene."

"Multum refert/interest vestra praesentia."

"Quod facis, fac bene." (Often found as a motto.)

That would be the first one – but if it's for a company motto, I'm not sure it works very well! (Some things don't suit Latin.)

Let me think about it.

Here's an alternative for the second one:

"Ardua molimur: sed nulla nisi ardua virtus."

("We do difficult things; but only difficult things are worth doing." – Ovid.)
