lathering , rinsing

If a wife and husband are bathing a baby, one is rinsing the other is lathering, would it be natural for the one lathering to say

Don't rinse where I am lathering. Wait until I am done before rinsing.
Don't rinse the spot I am lathering......

Thanks

Anonymous Wait until I am done before rinsing. To me it just makes sense not to rinse until the lathering is finished.
